2. I wish my mother told me I was stupid my first few years. First went to out-of-state private uni. Then went to in-state public uni, but with a useless major (exercise science). If I was pushed in the direction of my current major (Computer Science) in the first place, I'd be debt-free right now, since I now pay tuition out-of-pocket.

7. My school is about 45k a year in tuition alone.. But I got a scholarship that paid for it all.. Graduated with no debt while I know others with over 100k or even 200k in loans!

13. You have to be a non-stop, workaholic prodigy like Victor Davis Hanson to make a history degree economically viable.  Minor in it if you want; don't make it your major.

20. If you want money, become an RN. My school cost 5k. Only graduated with an AA in Nursing. My base pay is 100k. But since I can work all the overtime I want at my job, I can make 200-300k a year. I'll most likely make 240k this year. I'll never understand why people are still getting student loans for jobs that won't pay well.
