  1. Ok you ignored so many things how rent goes up while if u have a conventional fixed mortgage you payments will remain the same for 15-30 years. Yes you have repairs but even those don't add up to the increase in rents over 15 year period not even close. 2nd depending on where u but you can have some serious appreciation and the first $500,000 in gains for a married couple are tax exempt. You may think that doesn't happen but it's far more common than u think houses in San Diego that were around $250-300k in early 90's are now close to $1Million. Plus if u can't pay ur mortgage in many cases it can take the bank 1-2 years to kick u out landlord can do it within a month. Not saying one should always buy but there are time when it makes sense.
  2. As a homeowner I completely disagree with this video, while many commenters have already noted the inaccuracies of Adam's financial analysis. There is one thing that no one's mentioned. When you rent, if you want to make ANY alterations, like new carpet or paint a room a different, you have to talk to the landlord and if they veto it, it's the end of the discussion. When you own a home, you can do whatever you want (as long as you don't get tied into a homeowners association).
  3. Really my opinion of this should be you to look up that and you to see what's seem right for everyone instead of having someone explaining it to you, you should look up the information by yourself without needs of those telling you the benefits and disadvantages you may or may not get?
  4. This is a terrible piece to be honest. If you buy the right home at the right price in the right area it's a great investment. I bought a home for 79k and owned it for 5 years. Got a job offer with better pay over 2,000 miles away so I hired a real estate agent to sell it for me packed my bags and left. 2 weeks later the home sold for 95k. I actually profited off my investment but I also bought in a neighborhood that had an in demand trend. You have to look at all the aspects when buying a home. The price trend, crime rate, location. Otherwise yes it can be a terrible investment.
  5. not accurate
  6. This guy is a clown. Snopes has debunked him a couple of times, he has been debunked by officials and this video alone is proof he tries to grasp at anything he can to sensationalize his channel for hits and subscribers.

Here's one clue. Home ownership is home ownership, whether you live or rent it out.....wait....RENT...didn't he say that renting was smarter than owning? So we rent the home so we can subrent and then sub sub rent to someone? That how that works? He describes alot of situations that most will never encounter to try and scare you off home ownership.

Or does the bank just give you a house free and clear so you can rent it? How does that work? thats fun though, in order to rent out a home you need to own it. this does not include sublets which are a pretty stupid nightmare in itself for any renter.

Ok most of that was sarcasm but you get the point. While adam does provide links sometimes, even those are taken out of context many times when he explains things his way.

I am not saying adam does not have alot of correct info, he does, but it is nothing you cant do yourself and it is no big surprise on anything he has ever shown.

Another random case in point, he talked about a company owning 80 percent of the eye wear market, that is totally false. That company owns around 20 to 30 percent and is a major player owning a metric ton of companies bu the 80 percent figure was taken from third party opinion providing news pieces to other major papers. his link even shows the two areas he took the figure from, both contextually wrong.

People need to be careful about these type of youtubers taking news, sensationalizing it and taking many "facts" out of context.

When the exact source states that nothing can be done to get an exact figure, no youtuber is going to take their place and provide an exact figure to fill in their version.

This channel is entertainment and should be seen as such. yes some facts are dead on but most are not, and you the readers can find the exact same things if you get off your asses and do a little research.
  7. Makes sense, but If no one buys, no one can rent
  8. Makes sense, but If no one buys, no one can rent
  9. Wow what a stupid video
  10. Hmmmm I love this show but this is not accurate.
  11. the amount of people in the comments who didn't see the whole episode is hilarious
  12. I was once evicted from a home because the person I was paying rent to wasn't paying the bank. They just kept the money and foreclosed on the house. So if you rent, you are trusting someone else to hold up their end.
  13. I'm renting for as long as I can. And, come to think of it, why do I need to buy? I have no kids or S.O. or even pets to put in one. And that's not likely to change anytime soon.
  14. it makes a lot of sense for single guys ;)
  15. if you like throwing away your money buy renting that's cool
  16. I am a home owner, but I definitely agree with this video. For many people, home ownership is not a good idea. If you are only planning in living in an area for a couple years, then renting is a better option. True, homes may appreciate, but they also may depreciate. Many, many homeowners now are in a problem where they are under water, and owe more on their home than it is worth. With renting, you have the freedom to move, and also do not have to worry about costly repairs. So yes, for many (including myself), home ownership is a better option. But for many, it is also not a good idea, and they shouldn't buy.
  17. Ok this is just dumb
  18. This is Alice. Leave a message.
  19. What if we don't take a loan from bank?
My dad didn't take loan for making our house. He had enough money to built it on his own.
  20. Lmfao noone will no im a queer 😂😂
