Are the JSE's top five shares attractive investments?

The world's largest beer brewer, AB InBev became the top JSE-listed company by market cap after its listing on the local bourse today. Following AB InBev's planned merger with SABMiller, the other companies in the top five is likely to be British American Tobacco, BHP Billiton, Naspers and Richemont. All these companies enjoy offshore exposure - something which many local investors are currently keen to add to their portfolio.
