  1. You do need to know your dates. Australia went to 50% in 1946, not 44. The 50c is 80%. Yes, you neeed to know your dates.

I just stick to 90 percent junk. merc dimes, barber series coinage with clear dates and mint marks, standing libertys, walker halves. common date morgans and peace dollars vg 8 and above (never culls). when the premiums get too high on 90, I get 40 percent halves and 35 percent war nickels at spot, as well as mexican coinage. I dont buy overpriced bullion or those pretty 50 dollar 1oz rouds. id rather spend 50 bucks on a low grade 1921 merc dime that will hold its value regardless of silver spot. basically junk silver, semi-numismatic 90 percent and key date coins that have performed well historically. I also pick up sterlig silver at thrift shops that get underpriced to absorb any potential mney loss in this game. my strategy.
