I was 12 when this song came out,decades later and just now the first time hearing this since 1982 it takes me back to being a kid and my favorite uncle who looks like Bertie every xmas he gave me awesome presents and coincidently key largo was playing on the radio at that time,never saw my uncle after that again and now hearing this song I realy do miss him a lot.

beautiful song, handsome guy, sexy voice.....TIMELESS CLASSIC! I remember the first time i heard this song-on some tv show-i was around 12 or so....scrawny little girl, definitely too little to understand the meaning of a lot of songs-these were still considered adult songs- back then.....but i fell in love with this song. Wow, kids from those days,we were still pretty innocent at that age.

I love this song, but the video is absolutely cringe-inducing. I don't think it's possible to look any less cool than Bertie smoking a cigarette in the opening scene. Not to mention zero on-screen chemistry between him and the high school girl playing his romantic interest. This is only slightly less creepy than Benny Mardones' "Into the Night" video.
