CBK assessing structures to use a digital currency locally



With world’s economy becoming ever integrated central banks are now beginning to toy with the idea of digital currencies. While the Central Bank of Kenya has taken a tough stance on its use locally, the regulator is working out the pros and cons of having a digital currency that breaks the chains of international trade.   2. Bitcoins cannot be used as a viable currency as they are not finite. There can be an infinite number of crypto-currencies, and everybody knows VALUE LIES WITH SCARCITY. What is this talk of getting rid of the Kenyan Shilling in favor of a EURO style single currency (a failure of an experiment by the way? I hope Tanzania refuse as there will be no selling of Kenya's sovereignty. Hi maneno ya EAC must be re-examined. SOVEREIGNTY MUST BE RESPECTED! People fought and died for Liberty, there will be no single EAC country like the elites want. Who the hell would form a country with Uganda, being that the military is in charge there?
