  1. thank David. I didn't know...
  2. The only chart analysis I use is IV% and my own code:

    input exp = 30;
    input per = 0.31;

    def x0 = high[exp] - close[exp+1];
    def x1 = close[exp+1] - low[exp];

    rec y0 = if(x0 > 0, (y0[1] * 7 + x0)/8, y0[1]);
    rec y1 = if(x1 > 0, (y1[1] * 7 + x1)/8, y1[1]);

    rec dp0 = close[exp] + per * y0 * exp;
    rec dp1 = close[exp] - per * y1 * exp;

    plot pd0 = dp0;
    plot pd1 = dp1;

    I change the data as needed for options ahead of the chart to give me a rough estimate to where the stock range will sit in a given time span of a probabilistic curve. It has an interesting quality that I didn't intend, but it seems to show overbought and oversold positions for when the candles sit outside of the range for most stocks that I have in my watchlist. Not guaranteeing anything, but I'm not losing anything for giving the code away for free.

    My technique.....stick with good wholesome dividend stocks because there will always be interest in them. Sell Puts at the bottom OTM with at least 20% IV, 30 to 45 days out, and set to buy back at 0.05 (free trade). If it's close to expiration and I'm ITM, swap to stock and sell the Calls at the same level until I can dump them back. I find this good for my account considering I'm not at "market maker" level yet (30% apr isn't bad either)....then I'll just play the spread. Good luck traders!
  3. Hey David! What do you think about the stock HempAmericana, inc (HMPQ). Im currently invested in this company
  4. Thanks for sharing this David. I had never heard of this and although I consider myself an open minded person willing to learn new ideas (especially in trading) I'll pass on this one. No doubt Nick Darvas was an "out of the box" (pun intended) thinker and I can see this working nicely for him in the 1950's, before anyone in the West knew what Candlestick studies were. All of your examples, although fine for the Darvas Box, were even better for Candlestick breakouts. In my opinion, for today's trading, Candlesticks are more reliable and less difficult visually to observe. An added bonus too, the Candlesticks would've showed good exits on all the examples to get out with nice profits. All this being said, I'm "smashing" the like button 'cause I really appreciate being taught new things, even if I don't necessarily agree with them. Thanks again.
  5. very nice, I used in technical analysis. I also use volume to confirm break out or break down. If volume is not there, big guys are play with retailers head. Retailers are usually holding a bag.
  6. t'y sir
