2. If the price of an option is $8 does that mean I only pay $8 unless I decide to exercise the contract on the start date? Or do I pay $8 x 100 shares meaning I pay $800 for the Option/contract?
   
   Also, if I buy an option today with a strike date 3 months from now can I exercise the option sooner? Or does it have to be on the strike date?
