1. The socialist countries are the champions of fiat money. In Venezuela, the government orders the Central Bank. Here we had an inflation of 800% in 2016 and an inflation of 2000% is projected in 2017.
2. Is it not time that academics recognised the state for what it is? A mercenary "patron state" deceitfully posing as a nation, in order to legitimise itself, its ruling elites and the immense amount of power they wield and abuse.
   
   A patron state has to reward its clients. Thus the need for endless economic growth and tax revenues.
   
   So, why do academics not recognise this? Like their medieval predecessors and counterparts, they are themselves privileged clients and employees of the state. with a massive personal self-interest (subconscious more than conscious) in rationalising and defending its role, self-image (as our "nation") and ideologies (social, political, economic and racial, formerly religious), on which the state bases its claim to moral and knowledgeable authority.

5. This is a great piece. I want more on the IMF, Fed, and fiat currency. The average person doesn't have access to much of this information. I'd also like to know how individuals can own large hordes of gold such as bullion instead of all these coins sold through TV and online sources. It seems like there is some kind of cabal preventing the average person from buying and owning gold at fair market prices.
6. As if paper fiat money was not rediculas enough ...now they have the nurds convinced to except DIGITAL money...ha...ha...ha. Bitcoin etc. are BETA tests to see how brain dead we are. It IS the end game of taking from you everything you own. Sorry techies...only gold and silver are REAL money ( and I don't mean on paper in someone elses vault either ) !!!
