Fidelity Investments Active Trader Pro Review

This is a real quick review of Fidelity Active Trader Pro (ATP). I use to go through TradeKing and started using ATP. I would have to say after a couple days, this is a very easy platform to trade on.

Comments

  1. very resource hungry.. reminds me of etrade pro..
  2. To be a super-trader, you'll need an edge to overcome the laws of probability and the uncertainty of the marketplace. That edge comes from information flow, the ability to correct your habits in terms of the market's characteristics, and being able to learn from people who know more than you, cut losses, expand your information network, ferret out ideas, and take recommendations. You can seek more guidance from us.(binaryoptions.beginnerguide@ gmail .com)
  3. This software is rather sluggish.. On a high end core 2 duo 3.2GHZ, SSD. takes a second or two for charts to populate, quotes, open watchlist, most anything. Very CPU heavy and can only use 1 core. So I wish it was more optimized and could use more than 1 core since there is a lot of parallelism.

Lots of annoyances like it cannot get pas if i put a space before or after a ticker in the ticker field, it says invalid symbol. The quote window will not say what watchlist a ticker is already in.
    limit of 30 windows.
Cannot set charts to default to show extended hours, have to check that every time.
So many other things. But it's not bad. I use TOS for better charting and OTC stock Level 2, since ATP will not see OTC level 2s.
