GTAV - Friend Request Life Invader (LFI) Stock Exploit. Enable (CC) for detailed Instructions.

Update 18th April 2015: From comment posts it appears this exploit may of now been patched. I'll leave the video & description here in case there is a way for PS4 & XBONE gamers to still use it offline & pre patched. Follow these steps if you want to max out both Michael & Franklins bank accounts when your only 20% of the way through GTAV's story. (1) Start the game & progress through the story missions until you reach the first (L) Lester mission, but don’t start it just yet. Make sure both your controllable players are only 'sitting in fiat’. (That’s market talk for only holding cash). This exploit works faster the more cash you are holding. So definitely make sure you liquidate any & all 'Life Invader’ (LFI) stock you might be holding cause this is going the way of the dotcom bubble. (2) Now start & complete the mission “Friend Request”. When completed you should be in control of ‘Michael’ in his lounge room. (3) Go to the LCN stock market screen on your smart phone & take a look at the LFI price. It should of just dropped about 50% after you 'docked’ poor Jay Norris. But don’t buy any LFI stocks just yet, as this crash still has quite a way to go. (4) Go upstairs to your save game bedroom, but don’t save. Instead have a little lie down to progress time 6 hours. So just hit the button to save, then cancel straight back out of the save screen. If you want, take another look at LFI’s price from time to time & you will see it still in free fall. Keep on using the bed to progress time to about 7-8 days into the future. That’s about 28 lie downs in total. Do this all without saving or reloading. & remeber to keep an eye on the LFI’s stock price from time to time. What you are looking for is a 1 or 2 cent bounce signalling the end of a magnificent 98% price crash. For my game that was around the $3.45 mark. (5) Now using all funds available BTFD ( That’s market talk for ‘Buy The Dip’.) Pour every penny you can into LFI stock. Making sure you remember to switch to’Franklin' & do the same. (6) Now you can finally save. In fact you must save. I use the ‘Quick Save’ function on the smart phone. I avoided using the bed at this stage so as to preserve time, but the bed perhaps works just as well also. I’m pretty sure this exploit isn’t time limited as I’ve tested it out over about a 3 week period of game time, & it still works as well as day one. Just a tad faster in real time using quick save also. (7) Now use the pause menu, goto the game tab, find the game you just saved, & load it. (8) As soon as you are back in control, take a look at LFI’s price & it should now have a new random 5 day price history, with a new current market value of between 50-360% higher than the bottomed price you just bought it for. For my game that was around $5 - $15. Now instincts might suggest to hold onto this bad boy until it retests it’s previous highs, & in the real world thats exactly what your would do. But this isn’t the real world. So immediately sell all your LFI stock, remembering to do the same for your other character as well. I’ve worked out that after loading your save, you need to sell before the market cycles into a new session, as then the price will immediately drop back down to within a few cents of your original all time low buy price. Keeping an eye on the time of day you are saving can help manage this small risk. (9) After selling all your LFI stocks, get your character back to bed & take a lie down again without saving. This will hasten the market to cycle LFI’s stock price back down to it’s all time lows. (10) When you wake up, Check LFI’s price. If the market has cycled LFI’s price back to it’s bottom, use all available cash to buy it again, remembering to do this with both characters. (11) Now save the game yet again. Then return to step (9) & follow thru to step (11) and repeat over & over until both controllable characters have reached the max balance of $2,147,483,647. Turns out you can use this exact same technique to max out Trevor's bank balance also once you have access to his safe house, after his first mission. Also try storing any excess wealth in stocks, so you can stay cashed up later on in the game. You can hold a maximum of 2,147,483,647 units of any stock also.
