Harmonic Trading - Bullish Butterfly Pattern

Scott Carney presents the definition of the Bullish Butterfly pattern. The alignment of ratios initially defined in his 1998 book, The Harmonic Trader, has become the industry standard for the structure. Scott created the entire Harmonic Trading approach and has defined all of the ratio alignments for price structures that form harmonic patterns.

4. I must say I'm a bit confused as to how the d point can be at the 1.27AB=CD AND at the 1.27 of the XA leg if the AB is .786 of AB. I'm missing something here.
