How Old Do You Have to Be to Start Investing?

As Fools we're often asked the question, "What is a good age to start investing?" Well from our Foolish perspective, it's never too early to start! Recently Motley Fool One analyst Jason Moser spoke with his daughters Hannah (age 8) and Ainsley (age 6) about what they've learned so far in their young investing lives. The girls now own four stocks and they've been investing for a little bit more than a year. Thanks to My Scorecard they also know they're beating the market by four percentage points! Every one of the companies Nike, Apple, Disney and Starbucks is built on the world's worst exploitation of workers, partnership with corrupt or tyrannical regimes and no regard for rights or environment. Apple products are made in China in a factory where instead of facing core issues they put a wire-mesh fence around the rooftop to catch suicides. Starbucks invented the model of highest price charged to consumer for coffee while paying lowest price on record to Third World coffee growers.
