How The Stock Exchange Works (For Dummies)

Why are there stocks at all? Everyday in the news we hear about the stock exchange, stocks and money moving around the globe. Still, a lot of people don't have an idea why we have stock markets at all, because the topic is usually very dry. We made a short video about the basics of the stock exchanges. With robots. Robots are kewl! Short videos, explaining things. For example Evolution, the Universe, the Stock Market or controversial topics like Fracking. Because we love science. We would love to interact more with you, our viewers to figure out what topics you want to see. If you have a suggestion for future videos or feedback, drop us a line! :) We're a bunch of Information designers from munich, visit us on facebook or behance to say hi! 17. Making money wasn’t this easy before ( ) because you were supposed to spend whole a lot of time working on binary option trading and still there would be instances when you’ll lose quite a lot of money because the trades didn’t go your way. This has made this simple and easy by doing the trade thing for you and by giving profits more than often.
  18. What I want to know is WHY shares are so closely tied to a company's performance. Isn't the price of a share solely based on what people are willing to pay for it? Unless the company were to go completely bankrupt, you can still buy or sell shares in it and so could you have a company that's stable but makes very little have huge shares? Imagine a company called bitcoin. This company makes $0 per year but is stable enough where you don't have to worry about it completely disappearing. Wouldn't it then be possible for people to lets say buy these bitcoins for thousands of dollars regardless of the fact that the amount of money the company "bitcoin" makes stays at $0 per year? And then the cost of these bitcoins (shares) could fluctuate like any other currency in a manner completely and entirely independent of the performance of the company they represent.
