When buying an option what does "underlying" mean?
Great video! I'm thinking about getting into options, but some of it is kind of confusing. Main question is, using these strategies you've shown, at any time am I expected to buy or sell actual stock shares? Or is this just trading option premiums?

if the stock went down from bad earnings oe whatever else he could easily have lost it all, if Google went sub 575 he's out. do your research on options as not every trade can win like him.

New E-Trade user, and purchased my first call option today with E-trade. Couldn't seem to locate how to execute the buy when the time is right. ET customer service says the "buy" feature on options isn't available yet, but the "sell" is. They said I have to call to execute the buy...i said.. seriously??? This can't be right...right?

Trying to understand this option thing, I'm still lost. But pertaining to regular stocks, is it dumb to buy a stock that has no asking price? A stock I was looking at only had a bid price.
After a profitable options call trade, how do you get out quickly and take profits? Do you select 'Market' or 'Limit'? Is it ask+bid/2 for Limit?
