1. I can't believe how self-centred some people are. They are this way and then get married? No wonder some spouses will say "My spouse didn't let me..." What sort of disgusting mind and attitude does someone need to have to make the other person feel like person is given or not given?
2. I've been there. We lived on our own and moved in with in laws to establish and build credit to buy our own house. Had collections. We sold everything we had and made agreements with collections and had the collections reduced. Each time I made a payment to collections I immediately disputed it with the credit reporting agency and was resolved right away and a new credit report was provided with a new credit score. I was the at home mom taking care of this like a full time job while he worked. The it became us providing a lot more living with the in laws that was holding us back and weighing us down. Had to move out on our own. It is possible and even more possible when she starts working. Unfortunately his credit was worked on and not mine. Split and he lost the house. New challenge is for me to build mine and be able to buy a house on my own. Sometimes it's just adjusting spending money.

5. I need advice plz. My husband got into a rent to own contract for a 1996 mobile home/land combo priced at $90,000 We will have paid $15,000 by next year and that'll go towards the down payment leaving $75,000 left to pay on the property. The problem is we cannot get a loan due to our bad credit and the owner is willing to carry the loan at a 9% rate. What should we do? keeping in mind that if we decide not to go through with the contract we say goodbye to the already $15,000 invested. Any advice will be greatly appreciated thank you.
6. wait - I need an answer - Dave says NO credit is just as good as a high credit score but when we went to get a preapproval we were told that NO credit meant the bank wasn't going to lead anything bc we don't even show up in the system. We should get a card to build credit (just doing $75/mo for 6 months). Is that wrong? Is there some other inside track that Dave knows?
7. I don't understand Dave's 0 credit score comment. I've always been told to not close accts to keep them active. and if someone credit score went to zero how could they buy a house that way? confused.

16. Loy is a wuss and his wife is running him into the ground. She sounds lazy and ignorant about finance.
17. Forget dignity. Free rent. Stay there until you save at least 20% down.
18. Alot of these guys who call must be below average in looks, married up and are scared the hot wife will leave them so they just say " Yes Dear" in spite of stupid decisions.

20. Dave I'm over the pond in Ireland you've sorted my debt I've no bills apart from living expenses. My question is I'm living with my parents and need to get out I've got the 3 months emergency funds. I'll pay more to rent than I would if I bought what you think? I can't stay here forever
