  1. Why Gold? Gold IRAs appeal to investors who want a diversified retirement portfolio. Traditional and Roth IRAs invested in stocks or mutual funds are vulnerable to inflation. “Because gold prices generally move in the opposite direction of paper assets, adding a gold IRA to a retirement portfolio provides an insurance policy against inflation,” says Moy. "This balanced approach smooths out risk, especially over the long term, which makes it a smart choice for retirement investments like IRAs.” more info?: http://GoldAndSilverForLife.com/partner?p=romeoicq&w=webinar

  3. Currently reading IWTYTBR and i feel like stuff is different here in Australia. We have mandatory super contributions and ive never in my 26 year heard anyone talking about a Roth IRA account
  4. Can you open a roth ira account in Australia?
  5. I hear good things about Scottrade too.
  6. What do you think of USAA's Roth IRA and other investment options?
  7. Informative & concise. Great video!
  8. Ramit if you use Schwab for checking do you have an guard auto deduct from that account for your Roth IRA account?
  9. You're a great dad, matching dollar for dollar. I hope they realize what a benefit that is to them. How old are they now?
  10. My kids won't ask this question in the future - they've had Roth IRAs since they had small jobs (paper route, umping, babysitting, etc.). You can open these as a minor. As an incentive, I have matched them dollar for dollar. A couple hundred dollars each year during junior high/high school compounds nicely and will hopefully build a good habit!
  11. I recommended their Investor Checking Account, not their Roth IRA.
  12. Hey, Ramit -- you recommended the Schwab Roth IRA in your book but not in this video. Did Schwab change something recently to make you hate them?
  13. Great video Ramit! I actually just covered this days before - Where to open a Roth IRA. Specifically, I focused on where to open up a ROTH IRA if you do not have enough money to reach the minimums required by many companies and if you only had $50 to start with. The winner after my analysis was Scottrade. padorec.com/2013/03/Dont-lose-125K.html
  14. John Bogle, the founder of Vanguard has written great books on investing.
