2. I like Index Funds. Very cost effective.
3. What about value funds over growth funds? Most have a long track record of outperforming.
4. How do you feel about purchasing rental properties as a fixed-income vehicle for retirement? Basically investing less in mutual funds in order to pay cash on a rental property. It seems like the rental market doesn't fluctuate nearly as much as the stock market and you can always sell if you need to. I'm still paying off my debt so I'm not investing yet, just working on ideas.
