  1. I'm glad I found this video. I just opened a self-direct IRA because I wanted a better way to grow my retirement. I have never heard of the Solo 401k and now I plan to look more in to it. Thanks for the information.
  2. This is a new concept to me. My daughter and I are just getting started in real eastate investment and were considering the self-directed IRA. could you please contact me in regards to the solo 401k?
  3. I think you are over-educated...thank you man !!
  4. did withdraw money from my 401 ,a lot of money , obtained a great house, got bit in the ass with the IRS taxes in the end ,failure to do homework on my part.
  5. No mention of ROTH?
  6. Great explanation. I am going to check into borrowing from  my 401K  to buy an investment property. I have a financial advisor and an excellent CPA. Thanks for the information.
  7. I've never been interested in whole life insurance policies (or the fancy derivatives thereof) but perhaps I may learn to appreciate their benefits someday. I wouldn't have time to connect over the phone on this concept but you are welcome to bullet an email to me about it. To get my email, you'll have to go to my website and get a copy of my book for free. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Have you heard of the infinite banking concept? I would love to speak with over the phone if possible. I educate people on this concept. And I believe you would find it very interesting. What is the best way to contact you?
  9. Depends on if you set it as a Roth IRA or traditional IRA. With the traditional IRA, you don't pay on teh way in, you can invest in real estate and grow your wealth tax free within the plan, but when you take it out, you have to pay taxes. With the Roth, you fund it with after tax dollars and then whatever gains you make, at retirement, when you take it out, there are supposedly going to be no taxes on it...but we never know what the future holds.
  10. Although I am not the expert in the tax laws of these vehicles, my understanding is that all profits must stay in the account because if you try to siphon any of it out of their, it can be considered a prohibitive transaction.
  11. Hey Phil, great info. One question, if I use either of these methods to invest in real estate am I required to put all of the profit back into my retirement fund?
  12. If that is your plan, then I encourage you to watch the video, "WORST Way to Invest in Real Estate"
  13. thanks for your email. I would like to build a house on that waterfront home. and sell it. Good idea on finding an agent and ask questions.
  14. You should connect with a local real estate agent in the area in which you are looking to buy that lot and ask the person all the things that could go wrong. Pay them a flat fee for their advice, not a commission, so that they are incentivized to tell you the positives so that you buy. Instead, they will tell you the whole story. Question...who do you define the word "investment"? How do you plan to profit from buying a vacant lot?
  15. I am looking to invest in Waterfront lot in Panama . yes i am asking questions to know my risks. any tips you can give me ?
  16. this is so helpful thanks?
  17. Send me an email or message and I can direct you to my contact that can answer these questions for you.
  18. Hey Phil I am part of your mentoring program and I was wondering what are the rules for a roth ira?
  19. Thanks Phil.
