We don't hear their stories now do we? No, he is not held accountable for his advice in books written should it fail the reader miserably! Advice about how to make money by these charlatans should be a crime, they convince suckers with slick narratives, they dupe them into believing his advice will do well for those that heed his words....what a joke, some people fall for this misleading advice!
