  5. If I understood correctly you initially sold to open a call option and the price of the underlying went up. If this is the case why would you be selling to close your call option because if I am not mistaking wouldn't it cost you more to close that option, resulting in a loss? Please excuse me if I have misunderstood this or am mistaken.

  7. when i try to buy a stock it says "unable to enter order because your account is restricted to closing transactions". I am new to scotttrade and have no odea what this means. I bought two stocks a few days ago but thats it.

  9. Curious on why the Bid Price and Asking Price differ from the Bid Price and Asking Price in the yellow box ahead? Also why would it be $17 and not in the $80 range for the sell price if the stock went up. Please excuse the ignorance. Thanks in advance

  12. i'm new to the stock market, i have a scottrade account as well, one of my share prices shot up recently, i bought it when it was low at $6.65 a few months ago, it went up to $15.23 and it says "total gain 104.54"...what should i do?...
  13. The quantity is 1, meaning 100 shares or 100 contracts? so if I order a quantity of 2, it would be 200 shares or contracts?
