3. Hey could you show how to close the short leg during the trade but leave the long trade running in the circumstance that I would like to change the direction of my trade? Looks to me that the buy/sell option above just simultaneously closes the spread position instead of giving one the choice to choose between individual legs to close. Thanks

6. Hey there, grappling with IB TWS-how do you get to the screen where you get the options combos  at 2min18secs? I would love to click on a button and see an iron condor displayed but don't get any choice to click on a 'Combination' button/choice. In what screen are you looking at the options chain-it's my fault-TWS is (deliberately?) confusing
7. How do you unwind the vertical spread with IB coming into expiration if its under water.Do you manually close out the legs separately? Or does IB credit and debit the assigned shares at expiration?
8. I am using think or swim platform. I find one feature that is really useful in TOS is that there is a tab in the option chain that show probability otm . Does IB TWS has anything similar?

13. Hi Min, if you enter it as one order, it won't get filled until all 4 are filled. If you enter it as two separate vertical spreads and only one side gets filled, there's nothing much you can do. It always a good idea to reduce your price on the second order if you're not filled within 5 minutes or so.
14. If u trade a 4 leg option strategy, and only 2 leg gets executed, what happens to the remaining 2 if they don't get filled.? Are u guaranteed execution of strategy by ib?
15. interesting. no I'm not aware of IB having anything like this, but that does not mean they don't. Try their online help, they should be able to tell you.
16. Thanks. Since Optionsxpress is closing Canadian division I have to move a new broker. They had a great trading tool called a 'walk limit' where your order on the spread is submitted at the bid & as on the spread and then automatically cancels if not executed and moves up a cent every 2 seconds. A great feature. Do you know if IB offers anything similar?
17. yes, when entering a credit spread, IB will show you the net spread is.
18. Does the system not tell you what the spread is on the credit spread as a whole?
