[Industry professional news channel itsTV] Forum shares investment information in S. Korea



The Ministry of Knowledge Economy and KOTRA held the 2011 foreign investment company CEO forum on Dec. 1 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. The event was attended by Hong Suk-woo, the Knowledge Economy minister, Park Jae-wan, the Finance minister, chairman of Korea IP Office and some 200 officials. The forum was aimed at offering information about investing in South Korea for CEOs of foreign investment firms and to inform them government policies in a bid to invite more investments. Hong Suk-woo, Knowledge Economy Minister, said in an opening speech that South Korea will become more dynamic and a promising destination for investments following the ratification of Korea-US FTA and the beginning of 1 trillion trade. Peter Underwood, a descendant of Yonsei University's founder, emphasized the positive thinking of Koreans, and Dr. Ahn Choong-young of foreign investment ombudsman office highlighted the earnest post-investment support.
