You assume that there were far more honeymoons and fights -- far more moments of laughing so hard that you cry than an actual crying and far more successes than failures but none of that is true. Our lives are not represented by the photos that we share. We are pretending and it comes at a dire cost. There's been a lot said about the dangers of consuming social media. After all, the sites are designed to be more addictive than crack. The articles do little more than waste your time and the misrepresentation of how people live can lead to depression with the state of your own life but those are the easy criticisms. The real danger of Instagram and other social media sites is not in what we consume but in what we create. Think of it this way -- every time you post a photo you are contributing to the creation of a persona. 1. One time I dropped my smart phone and use a Nokia phone which has no camera or app used it for 3months never felt so free in my life I truly enjoyed time with reality and myself am planing to do it again .
2. I've been really stuggling with this a lot. I feel like Instagram culture in particular has indoctrinated me into the ideology that i should care an unhealthy amount about how i'm perceived, the likes i get on photos and my follower count. 4. Honestly yes all my friends post pictures of their fun life hanging out with friends all the time, and I have to keep reminding myself that these pictures are being taken at a specific time on purpose and they probably have moments feeling just as bored as I do
5. just deleted my instagram feeling pretty good :) but now i gotta work on getting off facebook which i think will be far more difficult cause i have all my old friends from high school i feel like i have to keep facebook in order to message them and see how they're doing :/

7. i don't use FB anymore and it's one of the best decisions of my life. i won't post selfies on IG anymore either; i have posed one since august 2016. on IG, i post about me, not myself; for example, what music i'm listening to that day or how i see social issues. and i've been subbing to junk channels in not invested in for a long time. it really works!
