   I am reading total money makeover but reside in the united kingdom. I am starting baby step 1 is 1000 dollars the same as 1000 pounds.secondly We do not have IRA's ,Roth's what is the equivalent and thirdly is there something similar like financial peace in the UK.

5. I like the fear mongering in the news, I like to buy mutual funds when the prices drop! when the rebound occurs, I make 8-10% in less than a week.

7. Remember how the markets were crashing last September? Or how they were crashing January of this year? Or how they were crashing with the Brexit vote? And look at the stock market now, highest it's ever been, or very close to it. Sure, there will be actual recessions eventually, but it will come back up, that's why long term investing in the stock market is smart.
8. Do you have money in a bank savings account?  Should I withdraw our money and keep it in a safe at home?
