Investing in Real Estate vs. The Stock Market

Investing in Real Estate vs. The Stock Market ★ SUMMARY ★ I have found that people who are really ingrained into their own investment vehicle such as real estate or the stock market really try to push their opinions onto people but that is not what I want to do. Personally I prefer business investing or the stock market which is technically investing in businesses. You however can choose to invest in real estate which is what a lot of real estate people will push you to do or you can choose a different investment vehicle. What I want to recommend to you is that you need to choose a vehicle that works for you. How do you choose? Your choice should be based on which one you can stick with for the rest of your life and that you enjoy. That can be things like gold or rare and precious metals or things like antique dolls or cars, stamps, commodities, all types of different things, but you should choose one that works for you and that you can stick with for the long haul. It does not matter which you choose but you should take the time to learn it inside and out. A lot of people that I have talked to who have had conversations with real estate gurus will tell me real estate is better, and then you can talk to some stock traders and they will say the stock market is better. Each do have their own advantages and disadvantages and of course the stock market has not been around as long as real estate or property investing. 1. You're paying at least 4% interest on your mortgage, in addition to property taxes and maintenance costs. With stocks, on the other hand, you can buy cheap mutual funds for as little as 0.02% expense ratio.
Unless you need a place to live, it's a no-brainer to opt for stocks over real estate for wealth building purposes.
  2. Is equity and stocks the same thing
  3. Great
  4. Funny, I have been pondering the idea of weather to invest my money for the next 25 yrs in stocks or real estate... I'm currently long-term holidaying in Thailand and when you mentioned the country's name I was sold on what my decision will be. I would hate to miss out on my yearly trips because I couldn't find a renter, or had to fix a roof or what not. Don't get me wrong if I was married with kids and a fulltime job in one city I would definetly rock the real estate strategy. Thanks for the video.
  5. also   even if you do real estate   do your IRA save you on taxes
