4. Please someone explain. How are REITs better than just normal index funds. Sure, they have only real estate, but what are the real advantages. It is not like they are more profitable. What kind of a person would invest in a REIT and why?

19. Only invest in publicly traded REITs. If it's not on the stock exchange then it's an inferior non-traded REIT. Also he never mentioned that index fund REITs are the best option because it spreads risk across many REITs and you just buy and hold (less trading costs).
