1. Interesting and yes I would agree mainly. Certainly leaving your money in managed funds is financial suicide. Investors should educate themselves on true market actions. Stay out of the market until volatility spikes then sell option premium (put) on good companies to get long. Then continue to sell option premium (calls) every month to reduce the cost basis of that holding you bought at panic levels. The truth is timing the market is everything. Most investors are lambs to the slaughter. The funds managers main game is fee collection from investors. Most either don't care about making consistent returns and simply don't have a clue about true diversification. They just follow the crowd. It's terrifying how stupid they really are.
