This week a real estate agent admitted what few agents will -- that he was worried Kiwi buyers could not compete with cashed-up Chinese investors who are paying top dollar for Auckland homes. Chinese buyers have been active in the market recently, after new rules restricted how many properties they can buy in their homeland. So what does it mean for housing affordability here? Rachel Smalley is joined by real estate agent Graham Wall and Professor Laurence Murphy from Auckland University to discuss the issue.
