  1. Yes I have done that... Both of them but I am learning
  2. Great channel
  3. The ending speech is really motivational. I've made trading a live style for myself over the past few months I've been doing this. I'm about to graduate from babypips school soon (finish high school). Now although I'm not positive in my investments yet, I always try to learn from every mistake. The small amounts I've lost not is nothing compared to the amounts I'll make when I finally master a trading style that works for me. I also look for forum posts on my mistakes as well and I'm not alone!

The most touching part was knowing you weren't always a successful trader, but you kept at it and now you're independent, which is what I will be one day. Will. Thanks again!
  4. subscribed. good video
  5. im new to the trade word, so if i sign up, you guys will send me let me know when to buy when to sell on the trade like teaching me how to do it ? thanks
  6. haha I used to look for "Trading Friends" but sadly all people I've met don't think like me... I got tired of that... for example they Don't believe in statistics or backtesting a strategy.... wich by the way I think its kinda stupid coming from technical traders ( a technical trader who don't believe in statistics its like a priest not believing in God), I like to think about technical analysis like this "Technical analysis is not about Support resistance, trendlines, japanese candlesstick patterns, harmonic patterns or any of that"... for me those are just techniques or tools... for me technical analysis is the statistical study of price movement using THOSE techniques... THAT is technical analysis... and the only way to study the statistical behavior of those techniques is through backtesting ( or you can spend 10 years forwardtesting your strategy only to see it fail -_-u ( in most cases that would be the case ) and our goal as technical traders is to find an statistical advantage and exploit it as much as posible... ( the mathematical expectation will only accure with a big ammount of data "TRADES" ) people don't seem to get that...they think becoz they know support resistance and other techniques they are set...and that drives me crazy... so what I did is I looked for a begginer ( catch him in the early stage of his learning journey) teach him all I know and now we are 2 :) we backtest and make everything together like we were 1 person... its pretty amazing how my trading has evolved having us supporting eachother...
  7. Akil - With just over 300 trades under my belt riding a bid of a roller coaster...YES I have made both mistakes that you mention multiple of times. BUT by far the worst mistake I made was adding to a losing position multiple of times, thinking now the market is ready to move my direction >>> biggest 1 trade loss 28% with 5 positions opened...ouch! Have managed to claw my account back to just under 10% of its original balance....Thanks for showing me that I'm not the only one that makes dumb trades.
  8. this video actually helped me a lot I make the mistake of pulling out of a trade too early all the time.
  9. Yes right now :( ... But you open my Eyes..Thank you
  10. I am very interested in becoming a part time trader as I currently work in Afghanistan. Although I have been reading and watching several videos on trading, where should I start?

  12. Who Said "You talking to me?"
  13. wow
    this is amazing
  14. Greetings from Nepal :) ... I really like your videos ... I trade in the Indian market, just started 2 months back .. didn't know much about trading and did those mistakes you mentioned a lot. but the thing is that I started following the concepts and rules and discipline which Jason Stapleton shares in almost all of his lessons from about 10-15 days, and man the results are unbelievable ... In fact .. before watching you guys' videos, I was losing about 80% of the time ... but since last five days, I'm amazed .. every single trade has been successful ... and every time I followed rules ... Combine fibonacci and structure and an eye at the RSI ... and discipline ... that's all it took ... I couldn't thank Jason in his youtube videos. Comments were disabled I guess ... so I'm writing here, hope you don't mind ... I would like to thank you guys so much ... been a real motivation and you guys are doing great work man ... I would like thank Jason specially as he has been a great teacher to me and all of you from trade empowered .... People are learning from this around the globe man ... just like me .. you may not even have heard about country Nepal ... but believe me .... you guys inspire and help a lot of people ... keep up the good work :)
  15. Hi Akil, great video, I always enjoy see your method of trading. I wanted to ask you what is your approach when trading during news events and how do you filter the news when doing technical analysis in your trades. Do you still trade during non-farm payroll news?
  16. Great video Akil, taking profits early is always something I struggle with, I know this hurts my risk to reward ratio but it can be hard to risk money that could be taken off the table
  17. You've probably been asked this a thousand times, but what trading platform do you use? and which would you recommend (UK), like does it need to be able to have technical analysis tools on, or should I just do that on tradingview and then just transfer my ideas over? Thanks
  18. Also have a look at this video from Charles Miles (another coach of Trade Empowered) that is elaborating on this subject here:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gruYMVRzJa0

Crux explaind. Plain, easy and simple!
But no quickfix to become profitable long term. So if that is what you are looking for, then this is prolly not for you.
  19. Thanks Akil, always good hearing your thoughts, I'm a trader that always seams to take profits early or move my stop to BE to soon and get stopped out, I mostly swing trade and have big targets but when I see a 2% profit in one or two trading sessions I take it as my thinking is you can't go broke taking profits, but after watching your video I think its time to steep up hold out till TP. Thanks for all you guy's do, keeping this forex world real.
  20. Thanks for another nice video Akil. i was in both trades and didn't care much about them as I was travelling. Ended up with NZDUSD winner at target 1 and then as I came home I watched the USDJPY trade going on and on and struggling to fall. I decided to gracefully exit it for around 10 pips profit since the pattern was invalidated. Of course now I regret it a bit since it reached targets. But I was over 100 pips in the red so still okay to close for 10 pips. Pat
