  3. Does it make sense to just buy cheap stocks...

  7. Hi, I liked your video, I´ve read the book "The intelligent investor" but I don't understand sentences like this "Santa fe rail road 4S was selling at 15" (just an example), I don´t understand what that "S" with the number 4 means, could you tell me please what  its meaning is?. And I want to know, in your webpage, do you  teach how to read finantial statements?.
Thank you and  best wishes for you.

  9. Just finished watching module 1, keep up with the effort. For those who wants to read from books, go and read it. There is not conflict between watching this video and reading from the book to get the knowledge.
  10. Great video, I too am a fundamental investor that likes to take advantage of the markets occasional insanity, I feel before any new investor is to read Ben Graham's Intelligent Investor they need to know the basics, as Graham's book is written in a terminology that does require some form of Market knowledge, but it is the book that changed my life as well. I now average 17% pa on my holdings. Why pay $1 for a $1 company when I can wait until Mr Market goes crazy and pay 70 or 80 cents for it.
  11. Your videos are useful and very much appreciated! I'll still read books though! I've already read Phil Town's
  12. That's true of pretty much any topic (Marketing, Accounting, Programming..), you can learn most things on your own from a book. However you will have to spend a considerable amount of time reading, talking to other investors, and through trial and error start investing. The cost and time required to learn value investing on your own would certainly be more than taking my course. What I offer is the fastest and simplest way to learn how to invest in quality companies when they are undervalued.
  13. Thanks for your kind words.
  14. Thanks! Your are right! I noticed that after I posted my video.
  15. Everything you offer I can read in a book. No thanks.
  16. MSFT is listed on NASDAQ...not NYSE.
  17. Like all your Videos Keep them coming!!!
  18. Hello Mr. Kan, I really appreciate your videos, and I think you are a wise self-educated man. I am Hung Le Tran and I am a beginner who really want to learn about security analysis. I am looking for someone to learn from, a teacher, a sensei. I know that I have enough seriousness, ambition and abilities to make money. Sorry I don't have your email here, so can you email me (tranlehung2008@yahoo.com). Thank you sir, I am looking forward to your reponse.
  19. If I was making that much profit, I wouldn't tell anyone!
  20. For beginners I would recommend the following two books: "The Investment Zoo: Taming the Bulls and the Bears" by Stephen A. Jarislowsky and "The New Buffettology" by Mary Buffett and David Clark
