1. I stepped into one of those private colleges years ago. I told them I'd think about it. Bills started showing up a month later. I never even signed up! Just like most places they pressure these people to sell, sell, and sell. By the way, community college is similar. I couldn't even begin to tell you how many people I went to school with who took the loans they offer with a click of the button, and either didn't fully understand that they would have to pay it back or just didn't intend to pay them back. Not to mention the ones who dropped out.
2. As bad of a pickle she was about to get her, her family, and her son into its amazing in a way how just one 6 minute phone call can save them a life of headache. As bad and illogical as she may have been, at least she took the step to give a call about it. Sad that unfortunately many others in the same situation don't even do that before they actually are head deep in debt already before seeking a outside opinion.
3. Why are the parents even paying for his school? He's an adult, he probably lives at home and pays no real bills. Sounds like he has enough time to work part time and go to school. When will kids get off the teet?
4. For-profit schools are the WORST.
5. Being 22 years old and currently paying off my school loans as I attend school, these types of calls make me cringe.
6. For profit in terms of school is a bigger red flag than a Maoist parade centerpiece.
7. Why would you think your child needs a college fund when we have internet now? Any smart kid can study himself, he should get out and get a job and study online for free.

9. Actually, if it costs $15000 for 2 years to go to community college, it will cost $7500 for each year; not $7000. 2 times 7000 = 14000.
10. Parents Parents Parents! STOP HAVING KIDS IF YOU DON'T TRY TO PLAN FOR THEIR FUTURE WHEN THEY'RE BABIES! Also, don't pop 'em out if you can't afford 'em and blindly "trust in the Lord". When kids are in high school is not the time to start investing. Pay a cheap price at community college while kid is in high school for general eds, and state school for last 2 years (or generous 1 yr Ivy League package with less loans than state college and then last year at state college). Also, don't major in stupidity. Only STEM majors and finance allowed.

    UTI Universal Technical School , sounds like the one in California.
    I was offered the exam same offer.

16. I am willing to bet $100.00 the nine month school is either a Certificate or a Diploma which in this day and age is waste of time.  Get the Associates from the community college if you  look at jobs or careers they say must have Associates or Bachelor's Degree not a Certificate or Diploma.
17. Sounds like wyotech i went there alot people dropped out becuase it was like a job and not a school. I was a diesel tech for 7 yrs its a hard career i recommend union shops they pay the best check for an apprentice program
