If they start charging for the game I bought, which didn't have a subscription fee, I will NEVER buy another Blizzard or Activision product again. Bank on it.

they're worrying way too much over piracy and hacked characters - something no one can completely prevent. i stopped playing MMO's cuz i know i can't be online all the time,
now that D3's just another MMO, i'd rather save my cash for warrior's lair and dragon's dogma.

A company is in business to make money... What in the hell do you think they should do? You want to increase your profit margins. I have an idea, you go make a company and just give away all of your money.
The in game currency is legit. People were getting scammed on stuff like D2JSP and other sources. I think it is fair for them to take a cut to make sure the transaction is smooth and no one gets scammed.

But not having an offline option feels like I'll just be renting the game... and you're totally right, it's a step in fully charging for the next Diablo sequel once having to have internet is going to be the norm. It's not even about having to pay $40 a month for internet just to play D3 but about owning the product.
Diablo 3 isn't going to be as popular as Blizzard thinks. It will still sell well, but won't sell in the numbers they are expecting, because of this bone-headed move.
I bet the next Diablo game is going to be pay-to-play.
the frantic game playing makes it more the pity. i'm an old timer and don't bother with online gaming any more. it was a game i was looking forward to, but i won't buy it now.
@mitchelld8vies It stands for Level Up/Game Over. But there has only been one Game Over Episode because most my viewers are MMO players.
