   There is at this time around 5,820,203,717 ounces of gold in the world.
   There is currently 7.4 billion people in the world. Let's say in a post apocalyptic setting 20% of the people are left alive (and that's being generous)
   That means that if all the gold was divided up evenly amongst the survivors that's 0.8 ounces which means at todays price... for 0.8 of an ounce its $1,500 worth of gold for everyone. Just lying around.
   Gold can't keep you warm, give you shelter, hydrate you, feed you or keep you safe. Buy supplies!!!
3. hahah, funny.  Sorry but if you think about currency anything such as silver and gold won't be worth much.  I remember a soldier in bosnia said money was worthless and real items such as ammo and toilet paper was worth more than gold and silver.  You can't protect yourself with gold and silver and it's better to wipe your butt with toilet paper than a coin of silver or gold.  Prepper have the right idea about real items that have a real purpose.  
4. A one ounce gold eagle has the same amount of gold as any 9999 coin. Eagles have additional metals added to 1 troy ounce of pure gold.

8. Excellent video. Be as diversified as possible. Keep your metal in coinage, rounds, bars, rings, chains, baby spoons, sliverware sets, etc... In difficult times when governments want all wealth they can get, expect regulations and capital controls to come down. That's why you want diversity in your methods of holding metals.
