  5. I stopped watching this English Goofball over 5 months ago after just getting tired of his Liberal bent on politics during our Presidential elections. For sure, the British liberals were trying to influence our American Elections through John Oliver's TV Comedy show. It is clear they wanted crooked Hillary to win the U.S. election over Trump. It's difficult enough to try and understand Mr. Oliver's thick British-English accent and then still try to catch the liberal humor and how it was meant to work into the comedy skit!

    In addition to this program being heavily Liberally bent, pay attention to how static, and stiff this British comedy writing is. The show writers are terrible and to me, the Topics are interesting but the show is just not funny to me. The parts that get the laughs are exaggerated with laugh tracks to help get the audience to chuckle along. Remember how they over did the 'dancing smoking lung man' (or whatever it was), for several shows over and they thought it was funny, funny, funny? NOT after seeing it once!

    There are great British comedy shows produced with wonderful seasoned British actors and actresses that don't push a constant political agenda and those British shows, shown in America are/were and still are funny over time. But not the show, "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver"! Just my Opinion, I don't like politically staged, biased programming, not in America! Just another case of lemmings following lemmings in the case of this show, IMO!
  6. john Oliver fan Girling over Hamilton was awesome
  7. YAY LIN
  8. Good luck, Puerto Rico. FYI they don't even help "Americans" in the inland and as a reminder your skin color isn't going to be helping. Like many here it's literally a chance you'll win the lottery than getting helped. In other words what you'll hear is "Get to the back of the line... "
  9. Fuck I love Lin so much
  10. I can't stop watching Last Week Tonight! So much bs exposing!
  11. Why is John Oliver more intelligent and honest than our entire congress? I'm very impressed with this man. Wow. Our congress needs to be changed asap.
  12. does john oliver even know what a hedge fund is?
  13. I got so happy when Lin showed up ;v;
  14. I am officially disappointed in my fellow Americans that is including Puerto Ricans (FYI Puerto Ricans are US citizens). I see that many are so uneducated. Some say that they don't give a crap for what happens in Puerto Rico. Right now the United States government and culture is not living up to the standards or has ever lived to the standards and image they like to say or act. So much for "human rights" and the "land of the free". When I hear those words, all I hear is "CRAP". Some people are saying, "How is this my business?" I guess it isn't..... However, when you have the US government constantly sucking the life of its "OWN" citizens it is quite unnerving and disappointing with its so many loopholes. The atrocities that John Oliver stated don't end at 21:21 mark. There are so many more. Trust me that there would be nothing more that I'd like for Puerto Rico to gain INDEPENDENCE, because after so many Puerto Ricans have moved here, served in the United States Military, pay for taxes (outside of the island), Puerto Ricans are still treated with so much indifference, hostility, and racism. One day the United States will fall apart, because there are so many that think that way about their own neighbors, "It's not my business!", they say. That kind of far outreached individualism, and thinking that Americans are only white and not people that come from all over, will be the downfall of this country. I would also like to say that I am disappointed in the Puerto Ricans that have left the island. We need our professionals and our people back on the island and things are not going to get better if you just quit your own island when it's in the most need. It is very understanding that the economy is not great and there has been a rise in poverty but it is getting even worse because there are no doctors, no teachers, etc. How is Puerto Rico going to get back up if it doesn't have health care and education. Those are two very important things that are direly needed to prepare the next coming generations. So do me a favor and don't say, "Oh yeah! Things are shitty!" and not do anything about it or just say "Oh, well!" Because saying that is not doing the island a favor, it is not doing your people a favor, when they need us the most!!!!

  16. OMG my two favorite men in the whole world!
  17. Thank you John Oliver for doing what local politicians and Washington bureaucrats haven't done: to defend Puerto Rico against foreign and domestic enemies!!! I really appreciate the time and research you put into trying to voice out the situation and the concerns of the millions of American citizens living in the island territory ( the last colony, really) of the USA!!! Damn racist and greedy politicians and bankers!!!
  18. Thank you
