  11. I'm using Python 3. I tried importing the code you've provided on your website. How do I go about importing numpy? I can't get lines 5-12 to work :(
  12. Hi Richardson, i am not sure if i have seen any tutorial on qqplot. Have you done any qqplot video if you have could you please send me the url
  13. Hello Harrison! I am looking at the code of this series at the page http://pythonprogramming.net/advanced-matplotlib-graphing-charting-tutorial/ and more specifically to this line

    print str(datetime.datetime.fromtimestamp(int(time.time())).strftime('%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S'))

    Which I am trying to decompose. Playing on the shell I have understood that we take the integer part (so until the Second precision) of the current time and transform it to a string formatted YYYY-mm-dd HH:MM:SS.

    But why do we use str() function if we can invoke strftime() directly to the datetime.datetime class?
  14. +sentdex Two questions:
    (1) What version of Python would you recommend for following this tutorial (and the others in the Python Charting tutorial series)?
    (2) As a followup: What version should I use for your other tutorials, especially the beginning Python3 series?
  15. These videos are amazing! Thank you so much. One question...

    I understand programing, very basically. But I have a very poor understanding of all the 'vocabulary' involved. Do you have any suggestions on a quick reference guide to help me remember and understand all the different variables and commands involved in the Python language? I guess a Python for dummies book might help :P
  16. chartapi yahoo doesnt work anymore any other ways to get the data?
  17. Hi, I have a question related to plotting.
    Often in Matplotlib, plotted data appears to be normalised. As in, the y axis is set to zero at your first datapoint and the data proceeds from the origin. I can't find anywhere to force the 'de-normalisation' on the y axis in this way. Do you know how to do this? I noticed that you were frustrated about something similar in a later video and thought you could help.
    These series have been immensely helpful, thank you very much.
