Christopher Anthony John "Chris" Martin, the lead vocalist of Coldplay (my favorite band), called this the greatest song ever. Me, I affix that title to "The Reason", by Hoobastank; but none can disagree with Emily's opinion of this song. Wondrous lyrics, wonderfully sung. This is the first time I've heard it (I know—shame on me), but it will NOT be the last. This song is an outstanding work of art by R.E.M.—may they rest in peace, as KatPonyForever so considerately put at the end of this video.
