7. No matter now esoteric your taste's become sometimes a good, slowed down, ultra-romantic performance of Rachminoff's Concerto No 2 is just the thing! For me the old Rubinstein/Reiner performance on RCA will always be definitive but this is brilliant.

10. The whole thing is so amazing, but the movement starting at 20:00 is hauntingly beautiful like the musical heavens open up in Rachmaninoff's brain and he just channels God.

13. one of my favourite pieces since i was twelve... i love the constant battle. i hear the first movement and i'm awestruck; it is my favourite movement. then i hear the second and i feel so bittersweet, like nothing reaches my heart as well as it. then the third movement comes and i realise it's the definite one, the grandiose masterpiece that has graced my ears.
    
    but then i hear the whole piece again.

16. it is ok, but too many notes make emotions kind of unnatural. I prefer Debussy.
