  3. For me this song Speak about if someone is to fit in this society he got to sacrifice his own self While at the same time he must act as if he were transgressing, as if you were a rebel when in reality we are just occupying a predertermined space a slot arranged in advance for Who know? so be yourself they say, everywhere you look at you find that demand, choose, right wrong, that demand for u to enact your own individuality by choosing between two optiins is all the more deceiving thats why we better be clumsy instead we rather opt out of this system by stopping to play their game yeah its a very depressing strategy well in some way this song reminds me of becks loser only this is more philosophical, complex just saying
  4. All I want to do is strip away these still constraints and crush this charade, shred this sad masquerade; I don't need no persuading, I'll trip, fall, pick myself up and walk unafraid.
  5. Back in 1998 or 1999, when I was 16, I attended a music festival with friends of mine. I hated it. Not the music, the atmosphere. The whole place was lousy with fakers trying to sound and look cooler than they actually were, pretending to have culture they didn't have, and trying desperately to be the teenagers they saw in movies. You know the kind: the would-be guitar player with his bad covers of (at the time) Ben Harper songs. The guy who thinks he's a genius drummer and wakes everyone up at 5 am to impress people with his mad skills on his bongos. The douchebag wearing his sunglasses at midnight asking cute girls if it hurt when they fell from heaven... My friends lapped it all up, and didn't understand why I couldn't stand it. After one single day, I decided to pack it all in. I walked, breaking the flow of festival-goers who were just arriving and left the damn place forever, with a smile on my face. Everyone looked at me as if I was mad. You know what song was playing through my earphones at the time? This one. It spoke volumes to me at the time. Still does. Thanks REM.
  6. Second song i hear as a newly made QUINTENARIAN. First was A NEW BEGINNING by FUNKER VOGT.
  7. If you like R.E.M, check out TED DUCHAMP - TIME BOMBS, think you'll enjoy it, cheers!
  8. The man is, and always will be, a freaking brilliant human being!
  9. When your English teacher sends you this before your exams
  10. 3:51 Whoa, never noticed before but it's the reverb from "E-Bow The Letter".
  11. Fearless was my middle name
  12. This is only a surmise of mine: the inspiration for this song is Klaus Mann's (son of Thomas) novel MEPHISTO. The story of a German stage actor with Socialist leanings who ironically becomes a fast favorite of Adolf Hitler. Notably made into a movie by Ivan Szabo in 1981.
  13. I coudn't choose what is better - if First Aid Kit or REM version. I didn't know REM version, so I heard them first time at the same time... But REM version sounds more urgent...
  14. The International Anthem of the WORLD's  COUNTERSTEREOTYPES.
  15. I love REM so I like this version.. and well bc it's Michael Stipe. But i also like First Aid Kit's version.
  16. THE BEAT, EVEN WHEN BEING REMADE, ALWAYS RETURNS TO THE ONE.
  17. first aid kit sings better !
  18. My favourite rem song
  19. Будь - здорова !
