    Robinhood

When you sign up for a new account, you will automatically be given a standard Robinhood account. This basic account is a limited margin account because you'll have access to instant settlement and instant deposits, which will allow you to immediately begin trading with up to $1,000 of the money you deposit without waiting for it to settle.

We use a limited margin account type offered by our clearing partner to power Robinhood. This allows us to credit your account the exact amount of your stock sale during the three day settlement period. You may learn more about stock settlement here.

Keep in mind that because these are limited margin accounts, you’ll be subject to margin account regulations while using Robinhood, including those on day trades.

This is not a traditional margin account. You will not be able to borrow more cash than in your account (leverage) or sell stocks which you do not own (short sell). While traditional margin accounts have the risk of incurring a loss greater than your account balance, we have specifically designed Robinhood to avoid that possibility. That being said, we plan to offer these features–leverage, shorting, and options–in the future, but those will require separate upgrade processes.

    Robinhood Gold

Check out Robinhood Gold–our fully leveraged margin accounts!

    Cash accounts

You will always have the option to downgrade to a cash account, which does not grant you instant deposits or instant settlement; and it is not regulated like a margin account. To downgrade to a cash account, open your app and go to Account > Day Trade Settings > Turn off Instant Settlement.

We'll just need confirmation that you have $0.00 in unsettled funds and no pending transactions. Once we receive your request, we should be able to downgrade your account within a few trading days.
  3. If i buy 10 different stock to day 10 shares on each one, for a dollar per stock. Then sell them the next day all 10 stocks all share. Is that just look at as one, or 10 in a five days. and then im lock out?
  4. Does Robinhood gold let you do unlimited day trades?
  5. this point still confusing me some said with cash account you have
unlimited day trades others said you get 3 days only margin account is
    unlimited ???
  6. I have a robin hood account, i also have "think or swim" software on my computer for realtime trading. I watch hot stocks on my realtime software with candle stick charts. I place orders through robin hood. Software is free thought i would mention to you
  7. doesn't the PDT rule apply to you?
  8. if i own the TD ameritrade software with all the advanced analitics and tools but didnt want to pay the big commision fees could i do all my trades on robinhood but use TD for the analitics and tools?
  9. If you have a regular cash account but under $25,000 can you day trade more than 3 times, I don't see any PDT protection on my regular account.
  10. I think your profits are fine. You still made your profits and didn't take a loss. Good job.
  11. I've been experimenting with Robinhood this month and I found that using my ToS software for charting helps a lot! Swing trading through this app works better for me than day trading though.
  12. Hey so your only allowed 3 day trades in a 5 day period? And is there a limit you have to trade with the day trades or no?
  13. how much money you at now
  14. I just look at the previous dips and look for levels of resistance and won't buy until it hits that price.
  15. what happens if the company goes out of business? What happens to my stock?
  16. when I day trade mak made 9 penny swing trade just waited 1 day makes 48pennys... Swing is so much better
  17. Very new to this, and terminology means so much, but my question is: Let's say I buy GOPRO at 9.00$ at 9am and it goes up to 9.50 at 11:00. Can I sell and I make .50 cents? No fees, no nothing, just made .50 cents? Done?
It does seem as though that is what you are explaining in the video.
As long as I have a cash account I could do this all day?
  18. Day trading is much better than sitting down and watching your money go up and down every other day, in my opinion. I don't marry any stock, I take profits and leave. So far I've made 9.5k in the last 2 weeks trading with RH and recently got invited to RH Gold. All you need is discipline and consistency to start making profits on the daily. To trade, I only use my knowledge as an analyst and some charting to know when to buy or sell. If you have no experience, stick to companies who have shown tremendous growth over the years. For example, NVDA posted record breaking numbers in their earnings announcement (which was on Friday) so I bought 132 shares @ 75.00 per share after market and sold the next day at 87.80 after market for a 1.7k profit (thank you RH Gold). It was truly a no brainier, investors love when companies top Wallstreet estimates and beat records; I can see the stock reaching 100 in the near future. Iv'e also been trading DRYS, but i dont recommend buying that stock if you don't know how to day trade yet, that stock is on steroids. In addition, ever since Trump got elected LABU ETF has been a traders paradise, its all about biotech now. So make sure you take advantage of that if you're going to day trade for a bit.
  19. robinhood is really not for active traders, considering you have no ability to short besides a few inverse etfs, no options , no futures, no forex, it really does not offer much.
  20. Folio ... Never apologize about taking profits. Remember we can time the market. Going forward you are going to have to set laws/rules/ for your self. You must come up with a Strategy and stick with it... Write down the laws according to folio and don't break them...What you did was an impulse buy with no real plan and you won " This Time " You have got to write down and strategize a real plan going forward how much money you want out of Robinhood.... I want a million dollars so I spent my time removing stocks from my watch list that give me that type of return
