  1. let the woman tell her damn story! sheesh
  2. If you haven't already blown your account 2-3 times one day you will lose everything.
  3. whats her name and book ?
  4. You guys are great, but I'm afraid the whole premise of the show is flawed. If the aim is to encourage/ help/ teach a larger cross section of the population to start trading (especially in volatility), then you have to showcase a successful trader whose life challenges and boundaries more closely resembles that of the average Joe/Jane. A high net worth individual with access to a 7 figure capital and a copious amount of time (to do 50 trades/day etc.) does not accurately reflect the reality of most people.
  5. She seems like a nice enough lady, but by gosh she can't really communicate, can she? "Eeeh, eheh, aaah, well, you know, I mean, yeah, nah, right, hmmmmm, ..........". Form a sentence or two and start sounding more coherent, for crying out loud! Getting her to talk about her trading experience was like pulling teeth.
  6. Does any one have an idea on what specific 50 trades she does every day. The credit spreads idea works but the key is find out which trades you do and hold it for 30 days or more
  7. Housewife? Retired financial analyst.
  8. 7:36
50 trades a day assuming $9.99 trading costs and .75x2 per option contract comes out roughly to $279,240 in trading costs.

Imagine how much more she would've made if she just went long rather than flushing a quarter of a million dollars down the toilet in trading costs.
  9. how is her book doing now ? I heard she didn't want to the market to move a lot higher ( had a short bias may be ? ) now that we know the market rose after this interview curious to know how her performance was . hope she did alright .
  10. Lately Robyn is not looking and reading the overall market, and most of his trade is stuck up for weeks and months before getting a result
  11. Robyn nice trade , wish I could trade like you
  12. What date was this program aired?
  13. I wonder how this lady is doing with a VIX at the low 12s!
  14. (cont) ThinkorSwim also has free classes during the day accessible online. See the "Swim Lessons." Also, if you have access to Trade Architect through TDAmeritrade, there is a "chat" at 3:15 ET they call TAChat. It' s possible to learn through these avenues. I've only been devoted to this for 6 months and it's taken me this long just to get some basic concepts. It appears there's also free material through TastyTrade.
  15. I am enrolled in Investools online classes, which are generally terrific. Probably most of the Investools classes are recorded, so you can still participate if you are working during the day. I obtained a tuition voucher to Investools in return for moving my portfolio from Fidelity to TD Ameritrade. I'm in the stocks and Technical Analysis course -- but not options yet. Sounds like I need to do the options classes very soon. It's important to note she became skilled at this through Investools.
  16. Great interview, I can really identify with Robyn, as I am starting out on the same path. Her honesty in turning from a analysis driven trader to volatility freak is commendable.
  17. We are not releasing Robyn's last name and her book is not finished, but Tom and Tony have read a copy. Robyn trades mostly SPX and ETF's and we will dive deeper into her strategy when we have her back on the show.
