There never is a catalyst until there is a catalyst, meaning yo have to carry some short delta before the catalyst is recognized by the market (herd) moves bearish. wish I could be impressed by Seth's returns, but new and very dangerous leveraged volatility instruments, combined with a protracted bullish market and below mean VIX are contributing to his gains. When we enter a more normalize volatility environment, the levered volatility products will be more dangerous to short and returns from that trade will diminish. Nevertheless, Seth has exploited the products for maximum gain and that is impressive.
