Silver and Precious Metals Investing 101 Part 1

This is Part 1 of my "How to" video of getting started into silver and precious metal bullion or coin investing. A few of my viewers wanted to know where to begin, so here's some information and tips for you on the subject, while showing you some of the things I chose to buy. With silver investing there's no right or wrong product, whether it's coins, bars or rounds, but there are things that may make one more interesting than another to you. I am a bit of a niche buyer myself and prefer buying things that are unique or artistic that may have some value over the bullion spot price, where a lot of other people prefer to buy for the silver bullion only and pay the lowest premiums possible. Both methods are valid ways to invest. Precious metals investing is a great way to protect your funds from the rapid deflation of currency, balance a stock portfolio and make sure you've got a decent retirement. Stay tuned for Part 2 coming tomorrow! Thanks for Watching!

Comments

  1. I'm from the uk and am new to silver stacking. Would it best best for me to stick to my own currently face value instead of getting eagles & maple?leafs?
  2. Really liked this video, we added this within our Precious Metals Forums to show support. Keep up the good work and keep stacking.
  3. what is that owl coin you have in there? looks like a perth coin but i do not know of a perth owl
  4. I like silver bars
  5. So, you pay about 20 bucks for something that is only valued at 1.00? I'm new to this.
  6. Get some gold Bullion for your stacks along the way too, they hold value a lot better than silver as Gold's price don't swing as wild as Silver in percentage terms
  7. Are you going to get some gold?
  8. has anyone cashed out their silver? you know, to buy a house or to re-invest into anything else. seems to me like it would be very very difficult to sell 50-100k worth of silver to take your profits
  9. Do you know any smelters that can make a 1/10 ton (3,215 ounce) silver bar?  I have various silver bars totaling around that, I want to turn it into one bar.
  10. Frank futter well good answer but I would have to say I like maples best because it's gvt issued it's got a $5 face value and the info is pressed on the coin. I hate junk silver because if you are trying to sell it the person may not know what is the silver content and value of an American dime. I don't really buy junk.
  11. Do you have any Morgan or Peace Dollars in your collection? Both are great for long term investing, in my opinion. I like silver eagles too, wish I had bough more twenty coin rolls when bullion prices were low. Good video!
  12. What do you put a value on more face value or silver amount? I Canada we have a 20 for 20 a 50 for 50 and a 100 for a 100

    20 = 1/4 oz silver
    50 = 1/2 oz silver
    100 = 1 oz silver
    These silver pieces can't go any lower than face values I find this a safe way to go.
  13. I dig those prospector bars, above all my other bars. Got 21 of them. Good video ,thank for sharing.
  14. I like "junk silver" rolls of Roosevelt dimes in particular.
  15. A one troy oz Pamp bar in a case? Seriously? Why? I try not to buy bars any smaller than 10 Oz. Single oz purchases are for coins only. It's called "stacking silver" for a reason.
  16. give me three more years of 25
  17. Great, thanks for answering me :)
  18. Every government issued coin with a face value should be worth it's stated value. Usually they're worth more though because of the precious metal content.
  19. Hi there :) Nice Video, thanks for uploading. I have a question: Is every coin with a face value a lawful money?
  20. nice video thanks! i have liked, subscribed to your channel. keep the good movies coming! I have just started buying silver coins/bullions. I will be uploading loads of videos within next few months! My first goal is to collect 100 Oz. keep stacking!
