1. Thanks Zachary - you always manage to shed a fresh light on some aspect of trading. I'd never really though of the DXY as a futures-traded instrument (as you mentioned, this might be because I'm on MT4). Since it's calculated as the USD against a basket of six other currencies, I'd always seen it as more of an indicator: a snap-shot as to the overall strength of the Dollar. (Saying that, I think one of the six currencies that make up the index is the Swedish Krona - which has always struck me as kind of random!)
