  1. Hello clay trader , today I got a message from Robin Hood saying I've been flagged as PDT and have a 90 day ban , I don't understand I had 3 last night saying I can't day trade until the 3rd of April and I wake up to this message ? But ok I'll see what happened , but my question is I can't move to another brokerage for example trade king or etrade and try to trade options or stocks ? I will be marked as PDT in the records or it doesn't work that way? Thank you
  2. Hello, its almost 3 years later, does that same rule apply??
  3. Thanks for the video. Could you please confirm - does having a cash account (even if under $25k) get around the PDT rule, provided you don't have a margin account? And does that then mean I can trade as much as I want? Thanks.
  4. question if you have a 25k account and youve traded it all in a day. You still have to wait 3 days to trade again? when trading stocks that is and if not how do you go by this. Noob here
  5. Taxes got to be paid. We don't need to invite IRS they invite themselves into our business. What is unusual that is bound to attract IRS to me if happen to have an offshore account? Not trying to run away from paying taxes.
  6. sir kindly tell what steps or procedure
should we follow to select a company to buy its shares?????????
  7. Do you know of any no-deposit bonus companies that start you off with a little money to trade with in the US?

  9. Clay i would like to know something about the T+3 . If a have a 2000$ account and i use 1000$ to buy a stock that get's up 0.5 . I have 1000 + 500$(profit) = 1500 . Now how much will i have in my account ? I wait 3 days for the profit 500$ ? or do i need to wait 3 days for my 1.500 ?
  10. do you have a course guide on how taxes work on trades? I am new to trading and I am having a hard time understanding this.
  11. I learn so much from these videos.
  12. Whats the main differences between cash and margin accounts? Is there any plus sides to using a margin account over a cash account (besides being able to invest more money that you have with margins).
  13. If you have a cash account of $10,000 do you still have to follow the PDR or do you have to do both cash and options?.... And does Binary Options work or is there another options for this process?
  14. Whats easier to make money/learning curve??? E-mini Futures or Options.
  15. No way around only 3 day trades per 5 days with under 25 k account?
  16. Excellent info!
  17. Yeah ok so now I see why my account said some of my money was unsettled. Wow that sucks, so i gain a profit, can I use the money I initially invested, or the profit, or none of it until 3 days on a stock trade???????????

    Anyone
  18. But isn't selling uncovered options a very risky business?
  19. can it be that you make 3 day trades in a 5 day rolling period and after you swing trade? does this avoid the PDT rule?
  20. I love your video, but could you answer something for me? I am slightly confused about the t+3 rule when trading stocks. Here's a scenario.

Say I have a pool of 10,000 and I use 8k on a stock (80%). The stock drops in price, causing my investment of 8k to be reduced to 7,800. Can I liquidate at that point, and use the 7,800 to reinvest in a different stock that same day without breaking the t+3 rule?

The reason I ask is so that way I can try to minimize losses, and perhaps jump to a different stock to cover losses, which I've done on simulator games.

So, in essenece, the performance of my portfolio would look like 10,000 - 8,000 (buy) - 200 (liquidate/sell) = 7,800 (reinvest into a diff stock), + 3,000 (the reinvested stock jumped up) resulting in 10,800 total portfolio value at the end of the day.

But, like I said, if the t+3 rule prevents that, I'm kind of borked, and little upset that simulator games fail to teach this if so the case.
