  1. I would not be surprised if we see at least a 20% correction. Looking at the S&P500 (spx) since it started trading 500 stocks in March 1957, the spx has had 12 corrections of 20% or more. This current time frame using 20% correction as a bull market reset is going on 62 months, which is the second longest period the spx has not had at least a 20% or more correction. The longest period was 93 months, which lasted from 1990 to 1998. For all we know, the current period could last another 31 months.

However, I believe this is a pump and Trump rally, or buy the rumor sell the news. Trump getting elected was the rumor. Trump being inaugurated and taking office as President is sell the news. I could be wrong. Bigly question is, will we see at least a 20% correction.

Another aspect I am looking at is the DOW, where the 1932 low and 1974 low are an equal distance in time to May 2017. Entering a 20% correction or more this winter would get me interested in a possible May 2017 bottom of some sort. Don´t know if it will happen, just see the time relationship is there if price wants it.

If the market does enter a correction all the doom and gloomers will come out and call for the end of the world
  2. What do you define as a bull and bear market Cyrus?
