if we are selling and buying every day like day trading(Holding stocks <12 months), that will be under normal tax bracket which i fall under correct? Or we have to make more for such type of trades?

The Investor Channel hey, just starting to learn about investing and just found your channel. Very interesting information. One question going back to ur netflix example: you buy netflix @ $100 and sell @ $130. You now have $30 profit. u take that whole $130 and reinvest it in apple. Apple goes from $130 to $200 at the end of the year but you do not sell. Is ur profit still only $30? Is it $0 because you spent it all? Is it $100 bc thats the total value uve added?

Do you get taxed on trades / exchanges? i.e. trading one company stock for another or one mutual fund for another?

Question. If I were to make a profit on a stock and then invest into another stock in the same year with those profits will I still be taxed for the first stock?
