So, everybody knows that the Great Depression started with the stock market crash in 1929, right? Not exactly. The Depression happened after the stock market crash, but wasn't caused by the crash. John will teach you about how the depression started, what Herbert Hoover tried to do to fix it, and why those efforts failed. 1. What is absolutely strange is the Depression actually "prepared" young people to be ready for WWII.  They were tough, expected nothing and they brought defeat to Germany and Japan.  Very strange how things work.
  2. My tests are way harder this is like part of it. I hate history because of the tests my teacher give me.

  15. hi
  16. Pathetic presentation...
  17. This is not totally true. First of all Deflation is not bad in anyway. Think about it more and you will get it. Second thing is that free market can heal it self. Government stymulation of economy is a mith.
  18. Hover actually did too much, if he just sat on his hand the depression would have been over in a few years. As the market and banks would have been able to crash completely freeing up resources to rebuild a better stronger foundation from the cheap inventory left behind. Thats how boom bust always works, it only falls apart when you do what Hover and FDR did which turned the bust into a long drawn out decade long struggle that only ended with world war 2 and the subsequent reopening of trade.

Hover did too much and your excuse of him doing too little too late is really just proof of that fact, Even FDR completely failed with his big government solution. Only World War 2 and the subsequent free trade era pulled us out.
  19. This is completely wrong the stock market crash was the main reason of the Great Depression due to the massive loss of money
