In this Trading 101 video we go over the difference between candlesticks charts and Bar charts otherwise known as open high low close (OHLC). Both of these chart types candlesticks and bar charts offer the same information for technical analysis, but Japanese candlesticks offer this in a clearer format. Reading candlestick charts is quite simple as it involves the open, high, low, and close for each bar, along with the color coding of red and green.
