US Firms Invest in S.African Solar Energy

42 per cent of all South Africa’s electricity generation between now and 2030 must come from solar and wind power – that’s the government’s aim – and it seems US firms are, slowly but surely, getting in on the act. As CEOs from American energy companies gather in Washington DC, our correspondent Lorna Shaddick’s been finding out how they view the prospects for a solar powered future in Africa.
